Hello, new subscriber here. As this is your channel, i'll be polite and start with your guest: Shmuel is nothing less than a genius. Even though my roots are North-Italian, i absolutely adore the mandolin and Shmuel's skills are almost obnoxious. Don't get me wrong, I'm just jealous, that's it. As for yourself, I'll start with the observation that every man on Earth would love to feel your gaze while playing, the gaze of a devoted and passionate musician, that is. I don't know how often you've worked with Shmuel, but your smile (while watching him play to match the mood) shows an almost visceral connection and translates into a superior rendition of Monti's chef d'oeuvre, conveyed by your musical empathy and skills. I'll finish on a (yet another jealousy fueled?) critical but well-intended note: Shmuel's technique and velocity will put any well-crafted mandoline to the test and halas, be the victim of overzealous play. I wouldn't dare to mentor such a Master as Shmuel, yet, sometimes, slowing down just a little benefits the composition. Especially when the pianist creates such an elegant and balanced ambiance. I'll happily dive into your musical facettes as soon as suffisant time is granted. Take care!

They should do this with his other waltzes. Pianists often play the waltzes far, far too fast. They are dances. If you can't dance to it, the tempo is wrong.
